At Fischerhaus you are in Mietenkam (530m), a part of Grassau Community and  only 2 km away from the center of the village.

Across from the house you find the "Kendelmühl Filze", a great nature reserve with many hiking trails.

Very close to the house there is a 18 hole Golf Course designed by Thomas Himmel. To the lake Chiemsee at Feldwies it is only 7 km, pretty easy to go by bike.

Direction south you look into the Achental valley with the Hochgern mountain (1748m) at the left side and the Hochplatte mountain (1586m) on the right side, both excellent for mountain hiking. The top of each can be easy reached in approximately 2 1/2 hours and on the way up you will find mountain huts, opportunities for a break to eat and drink.
