You stay at Fischerhaus in Mietenkam, a part of Grassau Community at the entrance of the Achental valley.
For hiking, you just cross the Moosbach creek and find the "Kendelmühl Filze", a great nature reserve and the largest moor in the Chiemgau region. You play Golf right next to the Fischerhaus at the Golfresort Achental with a phantastic view to the Bavarian and Tirolian Alps. By bike it takes you only 20 minutes to get at Feldwies to the Chiemsee lake, go swimming or sailing and enjoy a beatyful sunset at the lakeside.
Less than half an houur by car you will reach Seegatterl, take the Gondola to the Ski- and Hiking paradise Winklmoos/Steinplatte with 50km excellent prepared ski-slopes in winter. Lots of restaurants in the area with regional cooking will make your vacation at Fischerhaus an experience you will not forget.
The habitat between Chiemsee and Chiemgau Alps with the valley of the Tiroler Achen is an enchanting and extremely valuable natural and cultural landscape.
Lakes and rivers alternate with mountains and valleys, flowery meadows and pastures, forests and bogs.
